Who is Lou Kelle?
My name is Lou. I have been teaching yoga for a decade and working in the space of women coaching and mentoring, specifically Highly Sensitive ones. I spent the last 10 years in Melbourne learning and teaching yoga and being immersed in a big city life and all that has to offer. Just this year my husband and I have moved back to a coastal town in Western Australia where we have bought a property and are living in nature and will be growing our own food and leaning into the strong community here.
What’s your retreat about?
This is the second retreat I have led at Yama. Last year was such a beautiful success I just had to come back to this slice of paradise with a new group. The retreat this year is called Conscious Creator and while its primarily a luxurious yoga holiday, its also steeped in manifestation principles that I use in my own life to call in my big dreams! As a trained and experienced coach, I’m all about human excellence and believe so much that we are powerful creators of our own reality, whether consciously or unconsciously. This retreat is placed strategically at the end of the year to consciously let go of all that happened in 2024 and powerfully bring in a big vision for 2025.
What is your drive and mission?
My drive and mission is to live a life of contribution, be an alchemist in my own life and to hold spaces for others where they can do that same. As I mentioned before I have a specific interest in Highly Sensitive People and have created a three month coaching program around that that fuses my study in this area with coaching and yoga. My retreats are potent containers of space where guests can come to be totally pampered and then go back to their busy lives refreshed and with a new perspective and energy.
Why did you choose Balian to host your journey?
I chose Bali to host my retreat as I have been coming to this beautiful island for 3 decades and have been lucky enough to experience its healing magic time and time again. There is something incredibly potent about the frequency of this island – it magnifies whatever you bring. Its been my experience that if you bring a deep desire for healing and evolution, the energy will support this in a big way.
What projects are you working on right now?
Right now I’m working on cultivating my own little sanctuary paradise here in Margaret River, based on permaculture principles. Our property reminds me a little of Yama! Minus the tropical weather. I’m about to relaunch my digital course for Highly Sensitive Women, I’m teaching yoga here in town and of course putting the final touches on my Conscious Creator retreat that I’m hosting at Yama in November.
What’s on your self-realization dream list?
My self realisation dream list involves travelling the world as much as I can learning about cultures and healing modalities, growing an abundant garden, loving my family in the best way I can and helping to uplift the frequency of the planet by encouraging people to do their own healing work. To be a positive ripple of energy in the world. Thats all I hope for really.
Who has inspired you the most in your journey?
All my yoga teachers have inspired me. People who are sticking up for the planet like Greta Tungberg and Vandana Shiva inspire me. My husband also inspires me. He was adopted and didn’t have the ‘best’ conditions in his early life yet he has never been a victim of any circumstance. He has taught me that it doesn’t matter what you have gone though…you can make a great life with the right mindset.
How can people work with you or follow your journey?
Come on my retreat in Bali at Yama! There are still few spaces left for November. Follow along with my Instagram @lou.kelle.west and I also have a podcast called Stories of Healing and Wanderlust. I love to connect with likeminded souls.
Peace x
