Introducing Our New Menu at Yama Balian

At Yama Balian, we believe food is more than fuel — it’s part of the retreat experience. It grounds you, energizes you, and connects you to the present moment. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our new menu: a curated selection of nourishing, soulful dishes designed to support every step of your wellness journey.

Rooted in local flavors and enhanced with intentional, health-focused options, our menu now includes a wider variety of plant-based dishes, vibrant seasonal ingredients, and a special Ayurvedic offering created to bring balance and healing to every guest.

A Conscious Culinary Approach for Retreats

Every dish is made with care and purpose. Designed to support retreat rhythms — from early morning practices to restful evenings — our meals are:

  • Seasonal and locally inspired

  • Balancing comfort and nutrition

  • Crafted to suit a retreat lifestyle

We create our retreat menus for breakfast and dinner by carefully selecting from this full à la carte menu, ensuring that each retreat has meals aligned with its unique focus and guest needs.

🏡 When Yama Balian is open as a hotel, this full menu is available to all guests throughout the day. During retreats, our culinary team curates a bespoke offering using these same dishes, tailoring the experience to the retreat’s energy, schedule, and dietary needs.

Ayurvedic Options on Our New Menu 🌿

As part of this update, we’ve added dedicated Ayurvedic meals, carefully designed around the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas. These dishes are gentle, balancing, and infused with healing spices and natural ingredients.

Some highlights include:

  • Vata Porridge: A warming blend of oats, banana, cinnamon, and cashews

  • Kapha Eggs: Scrambled with spinach, turmeric, and sunflower seeds, served with chapati

  • Pitta Bowl: Cooling chia pudding with mango and dragon fruit

  • Tridoshic Ayurvedic Dhal: Slow-cooked lentils with olive oil and Balinese spices

Perfect for retreats focused on detox, grounding, or digestive balance, these meals are both delicious and deeply nourishing.
