1. Introduce yourself
Hello! I’m Militsa, 29, and the founder of Eunoia. This November, I’ll be hosting my very first retreat at Yama Balian, and I couldn’t be more excited.
I come from a rather unconventional background compared to other retreat organizers—I spent the last decade in business schools and the corporate world. During this time, travel and yoga became powerful tools for transformation. Becoming a yoga teacher opened up a whole new, exciting world for me. I created Eunoia to empower others who want to break free from traditional paths and embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and transformation.
2. What’s your retreat about?
Each Eunoia retreat is centered around a unique theme designed to nurture holistic wellness and foster personal and professional growth. Our first retreat, “Finding Ikigai,” will delve into elements of this Japanese philosophy daily, guiding participants to uncover what they want to cultivate and how to live with more joy and purpose.
Every experience is built on three core pillars: holistic wellness, community, and personal growth, which are deeply woven into our program.
3. What is your drive and mission?
My mission is to empower people to embrace their authentic selves. I believe that everyone has something unique that sets them apart, and though it takes effort to shed layers and dig deeper, doing so allows us to emerge stronger and live more fulfilling lives.
I’m also driven by the power of understanding the mind and learning to make it work in our favor—something Eastern philosophies excel at. I want to share this knowledge to help people break free from mental limitations.
4. Why did you choose Bali to host your journey?
I chose Bali because it has been a place of new beginnings for me. I’ve visited twice on solo trips, and both times marked significant chapters in my life. I also completed my yoga teacher training on the island, where I connected with many wonderful teachers and facilitators.
Bali’s unique energy fosters healing, clarity, and soul nourishment, perfectly aligning with our retreat’s goals. People often say, “Be careful what you wish for in Bali,” because the energy here is so potent that dreams can quickly become reality. During our retreat, we’ll harness this energy to explore manifestation, with the aim of helping participants realize what is truly meant for them.
5. What projects are you working on right now?
Right now, Eunoia is my primary focus. My vision is to build a global community by creating transformative experiences like the one in Bali, each centered around a unique theme.
After spending the last decade meeting others’ expectations, I’m now shifting the narrative to prioritize my personal development. My goal is to create projects that are deeply rooted in my passions while also being financially sustainable.
6. What’s on your self-realization dream list?
On my self-realization dream list, I want to continue deepening my knowledge in personal development and mental well-being. Over the next year, I plan to complete breathwork and coaching training, enabling me to work more closely with individuals one-on-one.
Long term, I dream of creating my own retreat space—a sanctuary for hosting workshops, practices, and a creative haven for artists to explore and express their talents.
7. Who has inspired you the most in your journey?
I’ve always been inspired by people who are brave enough to follow their dreams, no matter the obstacles. I’ve been fortunate to meet many such individuals in my own circle.
One person who truly stands out is Rama, my yoga philosophy teacher during my yoga teacher training. Her approach to teaching was profoundly inspiring—she didn’t just teach the subject; she lived it, experiencing everything firsthand before sharing it with others.
8. How can people work with you or follow your journey?
You can follow Eunoia on Instagram to stay updated on our journey and learn about the experiences I organize. If you’re interested in joining our first retreat, all the details are available on our website.
